Dear Reader, Wear. Yours, Author

I just recently watched The Grand Budapest Hotel & my love for all things Wes Anderson was reignited¹. Each piece of his projects are so intricately detailed & fully realized². The language, the layers, the saturated colors, the texture, the pattern, the editing, the retroness all work to seamlessly create a world of which I wish I were a part³.  Feeling inspired I pulled together pieces worthy of a Wes Anderson set.
Rushmore:
Leaf Pattern A Line Dress: Maurices / Navy Stripe Cuff Blazer: Gliks / Tan Boat Shoe: Sperry / Navy Tights: WalMart / Neon & Navy Amulet: Maurices / Braid: My Daughter
Fantastic Mr. Fox:
Plum Ruffle Collar Button Down Top: The Limited / Orange Pencil Skirt: Simply Vera for Kohls / Plum Tights: WalMart / Cheetah Print Wedge Ankle Boots: Toms
The Royal Tenenbaums:
Cowl Neck Orchid & Charcoal Sweater Dress: Carnaby Square / Dirty Denim Jacket: American Eagle / Charcoal Sweater Tights: WalMart / Black Suede Brogues: Toms
Moonrise Kingdom:
Pastel Stripe TShirt: Rue21 / Chocolate Pencil Skirt: Apt9 / Cranberry Drape Cardigan: Maurices / Chocolate Tights: Walmart / Black Wedge Ankle Boots: Toms / Jeweltone Tapestry Scarf: Gift
The Grand Budapest Hotel:
Tangerine Houndstooth 3/4Sleeve Sweater: Banana Republic / Oatmeal Tank: Maurices / Cranberry Skinny Leg Corduroys: Maurices / Neutral Colorblock Slingbacks: Franco Sarto
There’s a touch of whimsy in all of these. Whether it’s the shape, the color,  the texture, the pattern, the combination of details. I think it’s important to bring that to your wardrobe. Have fun!

1. Believe me, the flame never goes out, but after this particular viewing, it burns brighter.
2. I also wish this SNL parody lead to a Wes Anderson horror movie.
3. If you don’t start singing “Part of Your World” we cannot be friends.
