Charming Charlie

I received several pieces of Charming Charlie jewelry for Christmas & decided to showcase them this week. Since the pieces are monochrome I thought it would be fun to pair them with some patterned tops that haven’t been getting as much wear since starting this pinterest experiment.

I kept everything else simple (black pants & brogues) so the tops & jewelry would be the focal point. I wore my Banana Republic Ryan fit pant 3days & by day 3 had decided I will never wear them again. I like the fit on my legs & tush, but the rise is lower than I like. The waist has stretched & there are no belt loops to assist in keeping them where I want them. Also, the closure is broken & because of the stretched waist it sticks out weird under tops. I could maybe fix the closure, but even if I had the waist taken in I don’t like where it sits. Day 4 I replaced them with my Old Navy Joggers.

Old Navy Tshirt / Goodwill Find Leopard Blouse / Maurice’s Boyfriend Cardigan / Calvin Klein Coat / Maurice’s Cloche – I like how the necklace plays off the blouse with the shimmer of pewter & wild nature of the baubles.

Rue21 Tshirt / Maurice’s Blazer – The circles of the necklace & earrings are fitting with the geometric shirt design.

Isle Long Sleeve Shirt / Aeropostale Tshirt  – This long sleeve shirt started off as a dress with shredded hem. It started looking a little shabbier than chic so I cut it off into a top. I layered the patterned top under the solid so it didn’t overwhelm the lace detail of the necklace, but didn’t lose the too much of the pattern thanks to the sheer back of my tshirt. I played with my eye makeup a little bit today to pull in some more gray & white.

Rue21 Tshirt / The Limited Cardigan (gifted along with the jewelry actually!) – I love the shape of this cardigan with the above the hip cut in the back & draped front. Speaking of shape this necklace & earring set is so fun & the yellow really pops! Since there actually isn’t green in the tshirt to match the cardigan I decided to put some on my lids to help tie it altogether.

Outside of the pant problem I really liked all my ensembles this week.  Thanks, Morgan for the great gifts!
