SAG Awards

I was really drawn to the more demure ensembles at the SAG Awards. Sweet pastels, floral, lace, pleats, chiffon, fresh faces, & simple hair.

Kiernan Shipka / Erdem

Laura Prepon / Carmen Marc Valvo Couture / Owning the red carpet & acceptance speeches

Rachel McAdams / Ellie Saab

Gaby Hoffman’s lowkey makeup & naturally (grey hairs & all) voluminous curls attracted me. Very unfortunate that her Rachel Comey mermaid pillow sequins did not photograph as well.

Christina Ricca / Christopher Kane / Pastels! Lace! Pleats! Fresh Face w/Smokey Eye! Simple Hair! All The Things!

Laverne Cox / Prabal Gurung / Not a fan of the front of this dress, but I love the back & her makeup is “done” without feeling overdone.

Amy Poehler / Stella McCartney

Joey King / Nude Smokey Eye & Textured Hair feel equal parts age appropriate* & cool.

Alicia Vikander / Louis Vuitton

Kimiko Glenn / Galia Lahar

Rooney & Kate Mara / Valentino / I do not like Kate’s dress, but her hair & makeup are gorgeous / Rooney’s sashed jacket is perfection & I definitely prefer her dress with it.

Queen Latifah / Michael Costello

Kristen Wiig / Bespoke Roland Mouret Ampere

Saoirse Ronan / Michael Kors / My absolute favorite of the evening. She has everything going for her

The men were quite lacking this go around, however, Jon Ham & Steve Carrell’s facial hair demand a shoutout.

Did anyone pique your interest? A favorite trend? I can see myself attempting to convince my daughter into a long sleeve lace aline for homecoming.

*Disregard her plunging neckline.
