Challenge 7

Challenge 7: Banana Republic Turquoise Sateen Crop Pant

This is a pair of pants I purchased to fill what I perceived as a spring/summer office wardrobe gap. I have skirts & pants that work for all seasons, but nothing that seems specifically spring/summer appropriate. Something to just lighten up my wardrobe.

Look 1: Charming Charlie Necklace, Rue 21 Tee, Maurices Tank & Sandals, Lucky Brand Bracelet

Pretty springy! This much pastel isn’t usually something I would wear, but I do think it like nice.

Look 2: Maurices Tank, F21 Kimono, Woolrich Belt, TOMS Wedges

Keeping it springy with the floral kimono, but a bit less pastel. I like it till I get to the ankles. The full black bootie is a bit harsh & cuts my foot weird. I pair of strappy heels would be better, but I don’t have any comfortable ones right now.

Look 3: OVI Blazer, The Limited Button Down, Gap Belt, SO Sandals

Again busted up the pastel & created a bit more business professional spring look.

This has been a real challenge for me. Looking at the pictures I mostly like what I see. Switch out those wedges for something more open & that would have been super cute. The all pastel look is much more adorable than I felt.  There in lies the problem with these pants. While I don’t look bad & the ensembles are all fine, I don’t feel fine. I can’t even really pinpoint what it is that makes me uncomfortable. I just don’t feel like myself. Therefore these pants will have to find a new closet to call home. Buh bye!

  1. This happened to me so many times I tried colored pants. I will love them for a bit then decide I’ll never wear them anyway. Mint is also such a hard color to wear. It has to be the exact shade of mint for it to look right. Too bad this didn’t work out.
