I haven’t been wearing makeup lately due to the heat & humidity. I get sweaty very easily so it just seems like a waste. Plus I like going makeup free (as seen here) most of the time. However, this past weekend my daughter & I were attending a local production of The Little Mermaid. It seemed like the perfect time to play with some palettes.
Neutrogena Shine Control Primer with Rice Protein / Clinique Even Better Foundation in Creamwhip / Covergirl Tru Blend Minerals Powder in Light / e.l.f. Illuminating Palette / Sephora Pantone Palette / Almay Trio for Browns Palette / Benefit They’re Real! Mascara in Beyond Brown / Maybelline Lipstick in Peachy Scene / F21 High Shine Gloss in Nude
I decided to work on my contour/highlighting skills using my e.l.f. illuminating palette. I used the 2 shades on the left to attempt to recreate this pin.
To create my eye look I started with my Almay palette using the top shade across my brow & in the corners of my eyes. Then I layered Marina (left) under Citadel (right, sorry Serenity, not today!) to create a bright, but smoky lid. I finished the color off going back to my Almay palette for the middle shade to sweep into my crease.
Turned out pretty bangin if I do say so myself!
