As you may have remembered my daughter & I took a college trip in September to Ann Arbor, Michigan. Since its a substantial drive from our hometown & neither of us had been to Ann Arbor before, we made it a long weekend.
We spent the weeks leading up to our trip sharing places to eat, things to see, & the weather forecast back & forth in preparation. We knew we’d spend most of our days away from our airbnb & walking as much as possible. Being several hours to our North we figured the weather may be milder than the still nearly 100° days we were having at home. It looked like we were going to luck out & have some gorgeous days topping out in the 80s.
Obviously determining a an appropriate wardrobe was key. I had 2 looks in mind, athleisure & quirky college town. Which turns out may be the best way to describe A², a quirky school spirited college town. My travel clothes would be very basic. Nothing much to see there folks.
Day 1: College Tour, The Arb, Festifall on Central Campus, & Dinner/Coffee downtown.
- American Eagle Denim Jacket
- Love Tree Utility Vest
- H&M Crop Top
- F21 High Rise Leggings
- Brooks Sneakers
Day 2: Movie at Michigan Theater, Lunch at Zingerman’s, exploring Kerrytown, finding The Cube, Nickel’s Arcade, exploring Downtown, Dinner at Spencer
- Rayban Wayfarers
- Fossil Crossbody Bag
- Gliks Blanket Scarf
- Mumford & Sons Concert Tee
- Simply Vera Skirt
- Toms Sandals
I kinda feel like I nailed it. I felt comfortable & stylish the whole weekend. Only thing that would’ve made me look more local was blue & maize.
