Beauty First Impressions 4

I decided to try several of the products in my Boscia Skincare for your Selfie from my sephora haul.

Boscia Detoxifying Black Charcoal Cleanser

A black charcoal face cleanser that warms on contact and visibly reduces pore size, lifts impurities, bans excess oil, exfoliates, and brightens the complexion.

Ingredients
-Activated Charcoal: Absorbs impurities and excess oil, detoxifies, and exfoliates to refine the appearance of pores.
-Artichoke Leaf Extract: Reduces the appearance of pore size by boosting skin’s natural elasticity so the pore wall is less likely to stretch and retain debris.
-Glycolic Acid: Improves the skin’s appearance and texture by accelerating exfoliation.
-Vitamin C: Brightens the skin tone, minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, and protects against free radical damage.
Verdict:
This was not my first wash with this cleanser. I’ve used a sample size bottle before. I like the warming. I can practically feel it pulling the gunk out of my pores. I usually end up with a spot or 2 of acne that seems to arise from it pulling so much to the surface. It clears up fairly quickly though.

-Binchotan White Charcoal: Helps minimize the look of pores while balancing skin’s moisture content.
-Kaolin Clay: Reduces excess oil without depriving the skin of key moisture, boosting the benefits of the activated bamboo charcoal and binchotan white charcoal.

 Verdict:
This really feels like pudding! After about 15minutes while blow drying my hair it never really tightened up like most masks. There wasn’t any tingling or pulling. It was all just very smooth feeling. I’m not really use to that from a mask, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I felt very smooth & fresh.

Ingredients
-Activated Charcoal: Absorbs impurities and excess oil, detoxifies, and exfoliates to refine the appearance of pores.
-Artichoke Leaf Extract: Reduces the appearance of pore size by increasing skin elasticity; pore wall is less likely to stretch and retain debris.
-Glycolic Acid: Improves skin appearance and texture by accelerating exfoliation on the skin.
-Vitamin C: Brightens skin tone and visibly minimizes fine lines as it protects against free radical damage.
Verdict:
I liked this one. It went on smoothly. It’s not greasy or heavy. My skin soaked it up without any tightness. I wasn’t oily  or dry in the morning. I get some serious combination skin in the winter.

Since this was a nighttme wash, I didn’t try out the primer. I also skipped the other mask because it seemed a bit too intense to use both masks in 1 go. Those will come in another post.
Overall, I liked everything & will use up all the samples. I just might pick up some of the full size products with my birthday & Christmas sephora gift cards!
