A sneak peak of this ootd/motd was found in the Miscellanea April post. I had recently done some local retail therapy & was super excited to show off my new threads!
My daughter offered the super helpful assessment that while she likes my top she also thinks there’s something elderly about it. I will say the touch of brown in the floral does kind of remind me of my grandmother’s duvet cover. However, it does go perfectly with my grandpa cardigan.
My ootd is a little bit of a contradiction. Grandma style up top with youngster pieces on bottom. These are probably the first pair of distressed jeans I’ve owned since high school. They’re even light wash!
Finished it off the look with new accessories too; a stone pendant & Birkenstock-esque sandals.
- Faded Glory Cardigan
- The Gray Area Floral Top & Necklace
- Klique B Jeans
- Maurices Sandals
My motd is a bit of a blend of the Ginnifer Goodwin look I’ve been trying out (seen here & here) & my standard neutrals natural look.
Face
- e.l.f. Mineral Primer
- Clinique Even Better Foundation
- Farsáli Rose Gold Elixir
- Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Mood Exposure
- Bite Rhubarb Lipstick (I think, I can’t remember for sure!)
Eyes
- Crease Cafe Au Lait
- Lid Pale Mauve
- Lower Lashline Cafe Creme
- Inner Corner Antique White
- Tarte Amazonian Clay Mascara
This is a fairly quick & easy look. I’ve used it several times since Easter. It makes me feel radiant.
When I look at this all together it’s kind of perfect for spring; making old new again.

That cardigan is great. I love great big knit cardigan likes that for cooler spring days. The cable knit on it looks great.
