6. Inspired By

Of course, duh! I wouldn’t be on here blogging if I weren’t first inspired by bloggers.

Today I’m going to share 3 ladies that I’ve been following since I joined wordpress.

Maaike is the Indie Queen Floating in Dreams. I have found many a good book based on her reviews & some eclectic tunes that I may not otherwise have heard about since I’m on the other side of the Atlantic. She has a wonderful sense of style & loves a good dress! I’m quite fond of her skirt situation though. She pulls off a funky causal vibe with ease.

Her passion leans towards beauty, specifically creating artistic wearable eye looks. I love coming to her posts & learning a thing or 2 to help my eye game along. Her everyday face is glowy & fresh, but recently she’s been playing with cut creasing & halos. The results are stunning.

Amy’s blog Vintage Reflection is like the epitome of retro cool girl. She has such an ease with blending patterns, masculinity/femininity, & casual chicness. She’s not tied to any one time period. She seamlessly integrates the vintage with the modern for playful cool ensembles accented with minimal makeup. Oh, if I wasnt crushing enough, she’s a terrific illustrator!

Keira Lennox’s eponymous blog is a spot of sunshine. She shares her favorites from around the blogosphere & beyond. I’ve found some wonderful reads, treats, & products based on her recommendations. She prides herself on sharing real life fashion on a real life budget. The results are an overall unfussy & classic style. Basically I want to be her when I grow up.*

I keep coming back week after week to check in on their posts. I love to see what they’re sharing. While they each have their own style, taste, & take what I think draws me in is their authenticity. They all have a really great way of making their readers feel like they’re not just getting a peek into their world, but are a part of it. I mean, nobody want’s to be a peeping Tom (at least I don’t think anybody wants that, please don’t want that); we want a fun friend to share a cuppa & their new favorite find with us. Hopefully, I bring a little bit of that to this corner of the internet too.

*I’m sure she’s younger than me, ha!
