Beauty Empties 3

Guys I have a bit of a stash of empties.

So real quick a few items that I’ve already emptied or shared in the past.

Obviously I’m going to continue purchasing lip balm. I am taking a break from the night cream. I’ll explain later. I really love the lush face mask & will repurchase when I make my next lush order. I would love to repurchase Klorane, but it’s awfully pricey. I’m looking for something with a similar formulation, so if you know of something hmu.

Alright & now a look at my other empties from top to bottom.

Ogx Refresh & Full Biotin & Collagen Dry Shampoo:

Much more affordable, works very nicely. Definitely apply after styling & not before to avoid over drying. Possible repurchase here.

Anastasia Brow Wiz:

So this is the pencil that got me started on actually filling in my brows. Great for a starter because it’s a fine tip & would take a bit of work to get carried away. The spooly is great, so great in fact that when it broke I taped it back together with electrical tape. I have purchased this a couple of times because my daughter & I were sharing, but I’m shaking things up currently with a pencil from my local Merle Norman.

Lancome Energie De Vie Eye Gel:

Wow is this worth the price tag! Illuminating anti fatigue cooling eye gel that delivers. My only real qualm is that it’s difficult to squeeze the correct amount out just using the tube directly under the eye. I would instead squeeze a bit out on my finger, dab it then sweep it across my undereye with the metal “ball” massager. Ooo, what a feeling! You can see I didn’t want to waste a drop cause I cut the end off & got down in there with my pinky, a qtip, whatever would work to get every last bit before it dried out.

Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar:

I purchased this with a gift card I received at Christmas because the price tag would typically keep me away. This was a lovely day cream. Light, whipped texture that absorbed fairly nicely. If I was warm it wouldn’t dry down quite as well. I decided I didn’t really want to purchase 2 different creams again so I hit up my local Merle for their version of hope in a jar. I’ll let you know how this turns out.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream:

I picked this up with my Sephora beauty insider points. I love Fresh, I love rose, but here’s the thing, I don’t really need deep hydration. It smells amazing, it feels amazing, but this just made me oily. My makeup was just sliding right off.

Maurices Blossom Cactus Flower Roll On Perfume Oil:

You know how much I was loving cactus blooms this summer! This guy called to me like the bad boy in a 90s boy band. “Girl, I wanna run oil all over your body.” It smells amazing, lasts just as long as my more expensive perfume, & really checks my 90s lovin boxes.* I liked this so much I picked up a new scent for fall/winter.

Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant:

Lavender + Sage: I am a sucker for all things lavender. While this smelled amazing there was something a little off with absorption & texture. The bar felt grainy & didn’t apply smoothly. I was still always damp up in there & it was discoloring my clothing. Sad.

Bergamot+Lime: I actually purchased this first because it reminded me of my all time favorite perfume, Elizabeth & James Nirvana Rose. The application was very smooth. It dried down nicely & kept me dry & smelling fresh all day. Hence the great disappointment of Lavender+Sage. Oh & full disclosure I didn’t actually empty the L+S, I just stopped using it & repurchased this.

Huh, how many times did I mention something was too expensive to repurchase? I either gotta earn some paper or get less expensive taste!

*Well, that sounded dirtier than I intended.
