Recently I was given the opportunity to trial Nerium skincare products. I was completely unfamiliar with this company & their products. Jen Vaughan, my schoolmate & a brand partner, has been using their products for around 3years. The product line is very straightforward, but comprehensive for customers seeking anti aging skincare.
Jen was kind enough to gift me with products to trial for about 2wks. I used the Double Cleansing Botanical Face Wash ($30), Age IQ Night Cream($90), & Illumaboost Brightening Shield($60), the same products she uses herself.
I started off my Nerium experience by cleaning my makeup free face.
The product boosts deep cleaning that leaves skin soft & smooth. The double cleansing method is a little different than what I’m used to, but that’s the key to removing all the impurities.
It starts off with a pump or 2 of the oil wash applied to a dry face.
Then suds up with a bit of warm water to really bubble everything up out of those pores.
Rinse away for a nice fresh face.
I started my trial with the evening routine so next up was the Age IQ Night Cream.
A thick cream to boost elasticity. This is like 1 1/2 pumps.
When applied this immediately tightens over the skin. It reminds me of that crazy Korean mask thing Drew Barrymore swears by.
If you look closely you’ll see how it tightened across my forehead wrinkle like, not today satan. Also, it made me realize I should be using a brow gel. In the morning I just rinsed any left over residue away before using my daytime products.
I added the Illumaboost to my regular daytime moisturizer & sunscreen.
I took a couple before & after pics to see if there was any noticeable difference to my sun spots.
Personally, I couldn’t see much of a difference, but I did only use this for like 13 days.
The face wash & Illumaboost were by far my favorite products & something I could see myself using longterm. I really like the double cleansing method & even with oily tendencies I don’t mind an oil based cleanser. While I didn’t see any immediate difference in my spots, I did see some brightening. My skin also seemed dewy during the days I was using it, which may correlate to the ingredients that hydrate & bind moisture to the skin. The pump has a dual chamber thing that keeps the ingredients separate until your first use to help preserve their potency. Science is fun! I’m always on the lookout for a serum to keep my daytime game dewy, radiant, & supple. This may just be the ticket.
The night cream reminds me of the Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Transformation Gel. After several days of use the tautness was more annoying than rejuvenating. What I did like about it was its sleep mask like properties. There was something very therapeutic about rinsing it away each morning.
I was so excited to get to try out some new products, especially ones that target areas/troubles I struggle with. I would totally recommend reaching out to a Brand Partner & requesting samples if you’re looking for straightforward anti aging skincare. Obviously, if you’re local hit up this beautiful lady!
