Apparently Low Buy/No Buy are the blog buzzwords of 2019. The premise is essentially replacing basics as needed & limiting new statement/trendy pieces to very few throughout the year. I feel like I pretty much do this already. Occasionally I’ll snap up an impulse purchase, but primarily I wear the pieces in my closet until they shouldn’t be worn again (let’s be real, sometimes longer) then buy a replacement.
Case in point my beloved Maurices cargos are stretched & faded beyond what is appropriate to continue wearing to work.
Being beloved though, I refused to remove them from my closet until an acceptable replacement was located. I wasn’t actively looking for a new pair, but on a shopping outting for a friend’s Vegas trip I stumbled upon a remarkably similar pair!
No zippers on the ankle, but the front pockets are actual pockets. Huge win!
And perhaps based on my retail days (every sale should have minimum 3items) I picked up 2 more items.
The tshirt was in a shade I’d been wanting to add to my wardrobe & it was like $10. The neck scarf was a completely surprising addition. I love it, it’s my new favorite accessory. I find myself wanting to wear it so frequently that people could refer to me as Fred (Rogers of Scooby Doo. He loves a good neckerchief). So although everything was sort of impulsive, it was also items I was looking to add to my wardrobe or at least fit my spring aesthetic. No regrets.

My husband, daughter, & I went to see Captain Marvel this day. I have to say I was feeling myself in this look & then you layer on the confidence boost of girl power that is Brie Larson & I felt like I was totally rocking it. I must’ve done something right though, the sweetest girl stopped my daughter & I in a target parking lot to tell us we both looked really good.

Edit: I must be crazy, just realized I listed Bite Rhubarb as my lip & that’s not even close. My mistake has been corrected now in case you cared.
This makeup look is so pretty, I love it! I’m just starting back into my blog again and I’m so excited to get back to it x
